Everyone, at some point, reaches a time in their life where they must set off into the world on their own. Some are more prepared for this than others, but theres no one way to guarantee success. This blog is here to give you a few helpful tips to help push you in the right direction.
When you're living on your own you need to have a very good understanding of how much money you make every paycheck and where to allocate that money. Having a written out budget and accounting for every dollar you make will help you not overspend.
A general rule of thumb is the 50% of your budget on needs, 30% on wants, 20% into savings (This can and will be adjusted depending on how much you make/spend) and you should always have money you put to the side every paycheck for emergencies (If you can).
Making a list of what you spend money on each month will help you with paying attention to the amount you're spending. If you're struggling with spending too much then you should assess your priorities and what you need, cut out what you don't.
TLDR: Write everything down, think about what you're spending money on
There is nothing more important than paying your bills on time, interest is no joke. On top of that you have a credit score to worry about as well, which late payments can effect.
